TTB CircularIT has been shortlisted in the Circular Economy category at the prestigious Awards for Excellence 2026, recognising its leadership in secure, circular IT services and its contribution to keeping valuable resources in use for longer. The Awards for Excellence are widely regarded as the most respected awards in the UK’s recycling and resource management sector, celebrating innovation, impact and industry leadership.

The shortlist announcement follows a year of significant growth and impact for TTB CircularIT, including expanding its secure data erasure services, scaling reuse‑first device processing, and delivering measurable environmental and social value for clients across SMEs, councils and public‑sector partners

A milestone recognition for an organisation entering a new era

“We’re incredibly proud to be shortlisted for this year’s Circular Economy Award,” said Jodi Harford, Chief Operating Officer at TTB CircularIT. “It reflects years of work building a secure, professional and practical approach to circular IT — and it’s a testament to the thousands of businesses, councils and residents who have trusted us with their tech.”

TTB CircularIT’s entry showcased:

  • Certified data erasure for more than 13,000 devices in 2025

  • Reuse‑first processing, extending the life of thousands of laptops, desktops and mobile devices

  • Significant carbon savings through reuse and responsible recycling

  • Tech Amnesty Days that make circularity easy and engaging for staff and communities

  • Wipe & Redeploy, enabling SMEs to safely extend device life and reduce Scope 3 emissions

The organisation also demonstrated its ability to combine secure IT processing with transparent environmental reporting, including carbon avoidance, materials recovery and reuse outcomes.

Recognising a pivotal year for TTB CircularIT

The shortlist arrives as Tech‑Takeback evolves into two independent organisations:

  • TTB CircularIT, focused on secure, circular IT services

  • Tech‑Takeback Foundation, the newly established charity dedicated to digital inclusion

The Awards for Excellence recognition highlights CircularIT’s strengthened direction as a specialist provider for businesses, councils and public sector contractors.

“This nomination comes at exactly the right moment,” Jodi added.
“Our new structure means we can scale secure circular IT for organisations, while Tech-Takeback Foundation continues the digital inclusion mission. Being recognised for Circular Economy leadership reinforces that we’re on the right path.”
